August is officially in full swing and summer is starting to wind down. It’s not too late though to take advantage of some of Boston’s fabulous roof top bars where you can socialize with friends, network, and enjoy drinks or a glass of wine amidst a summer breeze, under the stars, and great city or harbor views.
Each rooftop bar offers a unique vibe but all offer an experience that can’t be replicated at indoor venues. Here are my top three picks:
Legal Harborside: Located in Boston’s hot Seaport District, Legal Harborside hosts three floors of different dining experiences. On the third floor is where you’ll find the posh rooftop bar/lounge and a sweeping view of Boston Harbor. This rooftop bar is actually open year round, but the roof’s glass walls and ceilings are retracted during the warmer months. Be sure to check it out before the outdoor bar/lounge goes into hibernation and becomes an indoor rooftop for the fall.
Lookout Rooftop and Bar: Lookout Rooftop and Bar is the newest venue to hit the rooftop scene. It is located on the eighth story of the Envoy Hotel, also in the Seaport District. The panoramic views of the Boston skyline and Boston Harbor are just one of the highlights of this rooftop. Their top-shelf cocktails are complemented with intimate seating areas, glowing fire pits, and built-in ceiling mounted heaters for cool summer evenings.
Rooftop@Revere: This rooftop bar is found seven stories above the heart of the Theatre District. During the off-season, Rooftop at Revere got a complete revamp. Rooftop@Revere’s 16,000 square foot space now boasts a bigger bar, new furniture, and a new convenient entrance. Sip on one of their specialty cocktails mixed with fresh fruit while getting a spectacular view across the city.
Now you be the judge and let me know your favorite!
Cheers to a great rest of summer!
