The Fenway is a thriving, dense urban neighborhood that is unique with its significant open and green spaces. There are multiple types of residences ranging from brownstones to low- and mid-rise buildings to luxury high-rise apartments. Fenway is very dynamic with a variety of restaurants, cafés, bars, shops, museums, parks, theatres, nightlife options and, of course, world class sporting events at the beloved Fenway Park. It is also a hub to a number of Boston’s academic institutions (Emmanuel, Simmons and Wheelock Colleges, Northeastern University, Boston University, Wentworth Institute of Technology and Mass College of Art), home to many of Boston’s finest cultural venues (Symphony Hall and the Museum of Fine Arts) and its Longwood Medical Area houses some of the world’s leading health care institutions, including the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, the Brigham & Women’s Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Landmark Center, on the Emerald Necklace park system, is a mixed-use complex combining retail, offices and a sports club. Kenmore Square is largely commercial, with its own nightlife and eating establishments. The Fenway and Kenmore Square neighborhood is conveniently located between Back Bay and Brookline. With the increase in lifestyle amenities, residences and easy access to public transportation, this area continues to gain popularity.
